The FLWOR Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports the development of open source software. The purpose is to make the Web “programmable”. That is, the development of Web-based applications should become much simpler. Furthermore, those applications should become easier to operate, maintain, and extend. XML and XQuery are fundamental tools for a programable Web. To this end, FLWOR develops a new platform for the development of Web-based applications. For more information, please, see: www.flworfound.org.
The FLWOR foundation’s support for the Balisage Student Support Awards has helped several students participate in the symposium and conference.
