Press Registration

To request a press pass for Balisage 2008 fill out the Press Request Form.

Please note: press passes for Balisage 2008 are limited, and are granted only to working journalists who intend to cover the event. The management of "Balisage: The Markup Conference" reserves the right to screen all registration requests, including during on-site registrations, and to refuse to register individuals for a press pass. Press passes will only be given to accredited/qualified editorial staff for print, broadcast or online publications, and to assigned freelance journalists. In order to qualify for a press pass to Balisage you must provide the conference organizers with proof of credentials such as: a valid press ID issued by a recognised press association or organisation, an assignment on company stationary, and copies of recent articles, etc.

A Balisage 2008 press pass entitles you to admission to the pre-conference seminar, all conference sessions, conference coffee breaks and lunches, and any on-site social events. It does not include other meals or accommodations.

If your request for a press pass is approved, you will receive email from the conference registrar. Please do not assume that your request will be approved; Balisage will not approve all requests, and will not be responsible for any costs incurred by applicants or attendees.
